Sardinia, where the sun
always shines

For those of you who’d rather enjoy an annual average temperature of 22.5°C. Sardinia has a mediterranean climate with short mild winters and hot dry summers that last 5 months from mid May to mid October. Sardinia is also a Mecca for those who love wind based sports like windsurfing or kitesurfing and even hosts the headquarters of the America’s Cup team, Luna Rossa. Thanks to its quality of life and lifestyle, Sardinia is one of the five “Blue Zones” recognized around the globe inside where the population lives a considerably longer, healthier, and happier life and has one of the highest rates of people over the age of 100 in the world.

Sardinia has the best Fiscal red
carpet for workers moving in Italy

Any employed or self-employed worker who is an E.U. citizen or a citizen of a country (Including UK and US) with which Italy has a tax or information exchange treaty in force and who transfers his/her tax residency to Italy, can, for 10 years, benefit from a special reduced income tax rate which changes depending on the region. For Sardinia the income tax exemption is 90% meaning the effective tax rate is only 10%. This benefit is only for a few regions within Italy and has a few preconditions (the worker has not been a fiscal resident in Italy for the past 2 years, intends to reside in Italy for at least 2 years and works mainly from Italy). There is no cap to the income eligible for the exemption.

Sardinia, perfect balance
between quality of life and cost

According to Numbeo, the world’s largest database of information on cities and countries, Sardinian cities have a quality of life index always above the national average of 138 (Cagliari is at 163) comparing purchasing power, safety, health care, climate, cost of living real estate price/income ratio, pollution index. Rents in Sardinia are on average 48% lower than in cities such as Rome and Milan. Sardinia is the perfect place to live, work, innovate and retire!

Sardinia, a connected
island

Sardinia has been at the forefront of the internet since the early 1990s, with the first web server in Italy developed in CRS4 and is one of the top 30 places in the world for fixed internet speed, with 90 Mbps in Cagliari and an average of 69 Mbps throughout the island. 172 direct air routes depart from Sardinia thanks to its three airports (Alghero, Cagliari and Olbia). Cagliari airport is an international airport and serves the area of Sardinia and the Mediterranean. It has direct scheduled flights to 60 destinations in 15 countries and 20 domestic flights from Cagliari. This makes it easy to reach other fantastic places to visit both as a tourist and or as an investor.
